Teaching Gurus Mentorship Program

Written by Yasir Nasir

While most of the students and parents registered with Teaching Gurus are aware of the several tutoring services we provide such as 1-on-1, group, and online; many do not know about the Teaching Gurus Mentorship program!

Every single year, students get to make the tough decision on deciding which courses to take, whether they be applied or academic, and how this affects the career they may be looking into. It can get quite overwhelming to think about all of these things at once, which is stressful for students. Parents can only assist so much in this because the requirements and criteria for certain jobs have changed from the time when they were in schools themselves. While our tutors are helpful in assisting students with their homework and exams, the Mentorship program allows students to have access to professionals who can provide them with counseling and guidance regarding their school life, and career orientation. Depending on which career path they want to take, mentors are able to guide them into taking certain courses, scheduling out their classes so they are better able to excel and achieve their academic goals. Students sometimes need that push and guide onto career paths, but are confused as to how to get there, which is where the mentors come into play.

Mentors are not only available for students, but our mentors are also able to coach parents on the different school paths available to their children such as academic or applied classes. Adding on, our mentors provide guidance for post-secondary education as well pertaining to which universities or colleges to apply to based on the chosen career path. As mentors, they have already been through the phase of high school and post-secondary, so they are able to share a lot of their own experiences with students when it comes to which courses to take, and the benefits and disadvantages of certain programs.

Our tutors are open to giving any advice students may need when it comes to schooling, whether it be for post-secondary or high school. Moreover, they are able to help students outside of academics as well such as extracurricular activities. The Teaching Gurus Mentorship programs is just one of the many benefits that come with our services!
