      Taimur Ali

Taimur has always possessed the entrepreneurial tendency and drive within himself, even as a child. Whether he was selling beverages and snacks to his neighbours or conducting small-scale ‘garage sales’ in his youthful years. He has also always pursued knowledge in all kinds of fields, ranging from mathematics and the sciences to history, geography and most recently philosophy. He also volunteered extensively for after school programs with kids, a charitable organization and the YMCA gymnasium. These experiences helped develop his social and customer-service skills to a well-rounded level.

His tendency to pursue new endeavours in his teenage years led him to multiple international internships, that ranged from a diverse group of companies from different sectors. Taimur got to experience how brands are successfully developed and marketed with Engro Foods & Geo TV; how large corporations properly manage their employees (Human Resources) with Sanofi-Aventis; how to run successful retail locations and train employees in sales with Levi’s Strauss; and how the operations and logistics for food products function with Engro Foods.

Taimur’s thirst for gathering and analyzing information translated in his academic career whilst attending the University of Toronto, as he pursued a variety of majors and minors in the process of completing his degree. By the end of it, he had taken a plethora of courses ranging from accounting, geography, management, English and literature, statistics and calculus, environmental science and geology, history and religion, biology and psychology, as well as economics.

He also conducted some interesting projects and experiments, including:

      1. Site report and a subsequent subdivision draft-plan: environmental regulations, road standards, aesthetics, wind effects, traffic and accessibility.
      2. City planning project for Square One Mississauga: analyzing land-use types, plan to improve local infrastructure, sewages, vehicle and pedestrian uses, and winter usage.
      3. Landscape analysis for a disclosed site: cultural land use analysis and proposed a new design for building types, road structures and business (retail) variety.

Moreover, Taimur has been lucky enough to have travelled around the world from a young age till the present day. He has been to over 23 countries and counting! These travel experiences helped him evolve as a person and an intellectual as it exposed him to extremely different types of cultures, languages, cuisines, religions and therefore developed his PR (public relations) skills in dealing with people appropriately and respectfully even further.

Taimur is extremely excited to begin this new chapter of his life with Teaching Gurus and can hopefully help your child reach their full potential that will translate to their academic performance in the real world. He is eagerly waiting to see you soon
