Mentorship is the development of a relationship in which a more experienced and knowledgeable person helps and guides a less experienced and less knowledgeable person. The guidance can include but is not limited to psychological support, work, career and professional guidance.
Tutoring will help a child in better his or her grades, while mentoring is much more about coaching and counseling. It’s much more about the qualitative and subjective parts of academics– dealing with frustration, giving constructive criticism, handling disappointment, behaving with humility and compassion, etc.
We, at Teaching Gurus, believe lack of mentorship in school children is an issue that needs to be solved.
At Teaching Gurus children receive tutoring and mentorship side by side, helping them be better students and better individuals.
